Hi, I'm Kalina, a musician, educator, creator, and entrepreneur.

I was raised in a musical family and started playing the violin at the age of 6 and piano at the age of 8. My family left Bulgaria during the communist era and I started my education at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo. I graduated from the Academy with a bachelor’s degree in violin, and I followed that with a master's degree in pedagogy. I knew already then that graduating was the beginning of my learning journey.

During the past 30 tears, I have worked together with the Göteborg's Operan, played with Norrköping and Helsingborg symphony orchestra, and performed in different jazz and flamenco bands. As an educator, I worked with kids of all ages, founded Kindermusik Sweden, and was a part of the Swedish Suzuki Association.

With a passion for history, culture, and art, I started the Rising Strings Academy, a unique online music school that focuses on innovation with music education. I divide my time between teaching violin and helping companies use music and art to create a sustainable organization culture, one that is driven by creativity and curiosity.
